Greetings and Remarks by Ohgi Umetsuzu—Master Dancer of the Ohgi School, Founder of Studio Mai, and Founder of Suzu Kimono Salon:
“I founded Studio Mai in 2005 to perform and showcase Japanese traditional dance. After moving to the USA, I had my share of struggles and doubts as to how to best pass on this traditional culture entrusted to me by my teacher. Looking back now, I can say I’ve come a long way.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our valued audience members and the deep joy I feel in being able to stand on stage with my students to celebrate Studio Mai’s 20th Anniversary. We are so fortunate to have your support.”
